Instructors

CAD-1 instructors are highly knowledgeable at using Autodesk products in the real world. The CAD-1 Premier Authorized Training Center (ATC) has consistently placed as one of the top five ATCs in North America for overall satisfaction ratings. While this system is governed by Autodesk, the ratings are based on input from ATC clients. CAD-1 has received numerous national Autodesk and Discreet Awards. You will not find a better Premier Autodesk Authorized Training Center in Colorado or surrounding states.

Deni Cox

Deni started using AutoCAD with version 2.6 in 1987 in the private sector. She moved to the Reseller network in 1989 where she began her career supporting and training end users on the Autodesk products. She has had the opportunity to instruct in the Community College arena, within the Reseller network, at AUGI CAD Camp in 2005 and at Autodesk University in 2009. Deni has successfully completed both Associate/Professional Certification from Autodesk and currently holds the status of an Autodesk Certified Professional. While Deni has enjoyed her years as an instructor, she is extremely happy in her current position with CAD-1 as a Technical Specialist. It is here that she enjoys the diversity and challenge of the questions and problems presented by the varied levels of users. Deni is willing to tackle any technical support problem that you have.

Warren Geissler

Since 1991, Warren has been working with AutoCAD, which he learned while serving in the Air Force. He enjoyed the program so much that, shortly after learning AutoCAD, he became the CADD manager at his unit. After serving 10 years in the Air Force he entered the private sector, where he worked as a CADD manager for Civil Engineering firms in Lakewood. In 1998 he joined an Autodesk reseller and training center to help establish in-house training and support programs. Since then he has been Autodesk certified in AutoCAD, Autodesk MAP, Raster Design, Autodesk Land Desktop, Civil Design, Survey and Civil 3D. Warren taught at the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 Denver AUGI CAD Camps, received an "Instruction Quality" award in 2005 from Autodesk, and passed the Associate/Professional Certification from Autodesk. With over 20 years of industry experience in the Civil and GIS fields, Warren always tries to apply a different approach to each client, based on their particular needs.

Brian Mackey

Brian began using Autodesk products with AutoCAD Release 12. He worked as a CAD Manager, customizing and supporting AutoCAD in the Building Industry for many years.  With a career change to CAD-1, Brian was introduced to Revit and found his true reason for living. Brian demonstrates his love and knowledge of Revit daily as a Technical Specialist at CAD-1, providing training, support and implementations of Revit.  Brian has been a popular instructor for several years at AUGI CAD Camp, presenting in 2005 through  2008. He also showed his stuff at Autodesk University 2009. Brian is an Autodesk Certified Expert in Revit, completing  both Associate and Professional level certifications.  Brian recently added Navisworks to his knowledge base.  He has become an advocate in aiding companies in the Building Industry with selecting the correct products to ensure their success in obtaining and delivering projects that satisfy the competitive requirements for the BIM and GREEN building environments.

Patrick Olson

Patrick has been working in the industry for fifteen years, with the last two years at CAD-1, and the previous ten dedicated to the MEP field. He received his Associate’s degree in Architectural Drafting from Denver Technical College in 1996. After graduating from DTC, Patrick worked with a local MEP firm, drafting in the electrical discipline and then moving into design. He then made the jump to the contracting world, where he worked for two local electrical contractors. There he was introduced to 3D overhead coordination and how 3D tools such as AutoCAD and Navisworks can ease the pain of the coordination process. Since starting with CAD-1, Patrick has jumped into the AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, and Navisworks world and has helped train, implement, and answer questions that MEP firms and contractors have about their designs and installations. Patrick has also completed over 400 tutorial videos for AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP which many MEP firms have taken advantage of. Patrick has passed the Associate/Professional Certification from Autodesk and taught at the 2008 Denver AUGI CAD Camp.

Brian Hailey

Shortly after graduating in 1998 from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Brian began doing design work in a general civil engineering firm using Land Development Desktop. Learning the software on his own, he soon became the resident expert in both LDT as well as AutoCAD. As soon as Civil 3D was released, Brian realized the potential it had and began devoting his free time to learning its ins and outs. Joining the ranks of the CAD-1 applications engineers in the fall of 2006, Brian has been training engineers and drafters to successfully use Civil 3D in their firms and has passed the Associate/Professional Certification from Autodesk. Brian has also taught at Autodesk University in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Denver AUGI CAD Camp in 2008, and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Colorado.
